IMMEDIATE STEERING FEEDBACK
PARATRACK AT-BIT INCLINATION ASSEMBLY
FOR HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING
The At-Bit Inclination Assembly (ABIA) reduces uncertainty by providing an inclination measurement directly at the bit, allowing for tight radius bores in unconsolidated or fractured formations where build and drop rates are otherwise difficult to predict.
Smoother Pilot Bores – The First Time
Inclination is transmitted from the ABIA via electro-magnetic transmission to the ParaTrack Steering Tool positioned normally in a non-magnetic drill collar. At-bit inclination is monitored in RivCross software where inclination trends at the bit can be compared to inclination at the Steering Tool, improving the ability to react quickly in conditions with mixed substrates or when tight tolerances are involved.
Long-Lasting, Reliable Performance
Available as part of a rental motor or as a stand-alone bit sub, the ABIA is compact, minimizing the effect on directional control and wear on other equipment. The battery is good for thousands of shots and field-rechargeable. Shot time of ~30 seconds limits the cost on rig time.
The At-Bit Inclination Assembly is part of the complete line of ParaTrack HDD guidance tools. Available exclusively from your Inrock or Prime Horizontal dealer.
