The XF Series Interface will automatically turn on any connected tools when RivCross is opened and the main power switch is on. The main power switch should be turned off unless the downhole tools are connected. Please also ensure the main power switch is off when splicing wireline.

Reboot your computer before installation Run the RivCross 5.0.5b installer During installation you will see a list of prerequisites that must be installed. If you need the ability to upgrade jobs from 4.9.9v3c to 5.0.5 select SQL Server Compact 4.0 SP1 x64. Should your installation fail twice, uncheck the SQL Server Compact 4.0 SP1 x64 box and move forward with the installation process. Error ‘{Object Exists} An attempt was made to create an object and the object name already existed.’ creating ports. Please ensure that RiXi is run with elevated privileges. To work around this error, go into Device Manager and uninstall the two COM ports associated with RiXi (“RiXi port for RivCross” and “HHD Software Bridged Serial Port”). Then open RiXi and try again.

To workaround this error, right click on the RivCross program icon and Run as administrator.
