To determine which of our technologies is appropriate for the specific circumstances of a given project. we use some general guidelines during the planning stage.  Active AC Magnetic Ranging is the technology that Vector Magnetics was founded upon, and it remains our primary detection method today.  The original WellSpot and Gradient wireline tools have been refined into the WellSpot At Bit (WSAB) tools, which allow for at-bit measurement of distance and direction to the target tubular, without the need to trip drill-pipe out of the hole.  Both open-hole and WellSpot at Bit systems are still in use today, and allow for flexibility while executing the relief well plan.
